At Your Service Event and Travel Planning

Connie Amos-Parsons, Owner/CEO of At Your Service Events Planner LLC in Alexandria, VA and Chevy Chase, MD, is an Accredited Wedding Planner, Certified Sandals Specialist and the Virginia State Manager for the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC). 

ABC is the largest organization for wedding professionals with over 4,000 members worldwide.  At Your Service Events Planner LLC celebrated 11 years in business in 2018. 

To share her event planning and business expertise, Connie developed a course called “Introduction to Wedding and Events Planning,” which she has taught to her team and to students at Central VA Community College.  She also created a 12 hour “Small Business Start Up” class and a “Business is Business” webinar for ABC, which drew over 100 US and international  attendees. 

She gives back to her community by planning and executing non-profit fundraisers for organizations which included, American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Virginia Blue Ridge, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Lynchburg Alumnae Chapter, and a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization called Hill City Associates, where she serves as president. 

Connie is a subject matter expert and speaker on wedding topics and trends for News Advance, Lynchburg Living, Central VA Bridal Guide, radio stations and ABC. 

At Your Service Events Planner LLC received the 2016, 2017 and 2018 Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Awards, which is given to the top 5% of wedding professionals annually.  Connie has a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland College Park and a Master’s Certificate in Leadership Development Program for Managers, from Johns Hopkins University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA.  Connie retired from the Federal Government as a Project Manager (PMP) and Senior Management Analyst.  

Connie has proudly served as Chair of the Steering Committee and first President and Charter Member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Federal Credit Union (MPBC FCU), chartered on September 27, 2000, and is still a viable Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, VA.  She was also the Chair of the Tutorial Ministry, which started with 3 tutors and 2 students.  Under her tenure, the program increased to 15 tutors and 35 students.  Connie stepped down to assist with forming the MPBC FCU.

Connie has two adult children, Michelle and Andre, and three grandsons. Her hobbies include traveling worldwide, visiting the beach, shopping, reading, listening to music, dancing, walking/jogging, singing in her church and loving life.   

Connie recently fulfilled her dream of being an Author.
